About Marsodus

Our Mission

Marsodus was created with a singular purpose: to bridge the gap between the complex, abstract science of Mars exploration and the personal experience of everyday people on Earth. As humanity prepares to become a multi-planetary species — with NASA, ESA, and SpaceX actively working toward the first crewed Mars landing in the late 2030s — we believe everyone should have the opportunity to understand what that journey will mean for them, personally.

We do this not through textbooks or dry data tables, but through free, interactive tools built on real scientific data. When you use our Mars Age Calculator, you are experiencing the actual mathematics of orbital mechanics. When you take the Mars Career Test, you are learning about the real roles that will be critical in the first Mars colony. When you run the Survival Simulator, you are working with real resource consumption rates for oxygen, water, and food that mission planners actually use.

Marsodus is built and maintained by a small, passionate team of space enthusiasts, web developers, and science communicators. We are not scientists — we are people who believe that space exploration is one of the most important endeavors in human history, and that understanding it should not require a PhD. Our team spans interests in astrophysics, education technology, and interactive design, united by a single question: what does it actually mean to live on Mars?
